FAQ

  • What method does Little Otter Aquatic use to teach swimming?
Little Otter Aquatics uses a gentle method to teach your child how to swim confidently and safely in the water. We use age approprate approximations to teach new skills and to conquor fear in and around the water. We do NOT use the dunk/roll, dunk/roll method of teaching survival swimming. This method can create a deep fear of the water which can take many sessions or seasons to recover from. Little Otter Aquatics will always go at your childs pace while gently encouraging the next level of skills that your child is ready for.
  • What should my child bring to lessons?
Your child should arrive ready to swim in their swimsuit. Children that are not potty trained MUST use a snug reusable diaper (such as Iplay). Goggles are not needed or encouraged unless your child is in a high level Learn to Swim course that focuses on stroke work. Dont forget a towel!
  • What happens if we have incliment weather?
If lightning is within 10 miles of Mrs. Angie's pool lessons will be cancelled. We do swim in light rain and cool weather. If your childs lesson is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be given a makeup lesson. If you have completed 2/3 of your lesson when lighting enters the area your lesson is considered complete. Mrs. Angie will contact you if your lesson is cancelled. We will not make up lessons that are skipped because of an assumed weather cancellation.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Little Otter Aquatics requires a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your reservation. Because of the limited space for the season we do not allow cancellations. Deposits will be forfieted if you decide not to swim.
